How to open zip files

 
These directions illustrate how to download and open a "zipped" MSDS file, but the steps are exactly the same when downloading our parts lists and equipment diagrams.  
 
 
 
Steps to download a zip file:

Click the Download now link next to the name of the MSDS or diagram you would like to download.

The window shown below will pop up asking you if you would like to Open or Save the file. Choose Open.

After you choose Open, as described above, a window will appear asking you where you would like to save the file. Click the Browse button.

After clicking the Browse button you will be asked to choose a destination folder. This can be anywhere on your computer, just make sure you remember the location you choose here so that you can retrieve the file later. The My Documents folder is a good place to store downloads. Click OK.

You have chosen a destination and the computer now knows in which directory to "unzip" the files that are contained in the zip archive. The location you chose will be displayed in the next window (see the red box). If you are satisfied with this location click the Unzip button (if not, go back to step 4). The program will now do its job and will place your file in the specified directory.

 
 
 

6.

The window below shows a successful "unzipping" of your file. Now all you need to do is to navigate to the folder you specified in step 4, open the file and print it for your records. If you happen to get an error message during this step chances are the file became corrupt during the download phase. There are many reasons why this can happen but if it does you will need to download the file again from our site and start over at step 1.
